Q. How long do hearing examinations take?

A. Generally tests are completed within 45 minutes. You will not be rushed through an "assembly line!" All tests are by appointment only, so your waiting time is minimal.

Q.How much will these tests cost me?

A.You are charged only for tests that are conducted. There is no office visit fee. Before any tests are given, the costs will be explained to you. We are Medicare and HMO approved, and many insurance companies cover hearing tests.

Q. Is my doctor involved?

A. Your doctor can refer you for specific hearing tests. Test results are provided to you and your doctor.

Q.What if the tests indicate I need a hearing aid?

A. If the results of the hearing examination indicate that you have a hearing loss that can benefit from a hearing aid, you can arrange for a 30-day trial period with a hearing aid.

Q.What types of hearing aids does your office provide?

A. The audiologist will discuss types of hearing aid systems that would be appropriate for your hearing loss. You will have the opportunity to try on hearing aids and assess them, both formally and informally. We carry most makes and models of hearing aids available today.

Q. What are the charges for a hearing aid?

A. The cost for the hearing aid will vary depending upon the hearing aid that best meets your personal needs. The audiologist will discuss the cost of the hearing aid system with you, as well as what insurance companies cover hearing aids. A 30-day return privilege is extended for all hearing aids.
