Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Martha Derr has 30 years of experience as a certified clinical audiologist. Twenty of those years have been working with hearing instruments. Martha earned her Bachelor Degree from the University of Florida and her Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville. Following, she completed a clinical fellowship at an Ear, Nose, & Throat physician’s office in Roanoke, VA. Martha has worked in a variety of settings including, ENT offices, hospitals, schools, industries, private practice and the Butler VA in western PA. She went back to school and earned her clinical Doctorate degree of Audiology in 2002 through the University of Florida. She joined the staff of Associates in Hearing in the fall of 2011 and is very happy working for this practice.
Martha specializes in evaluation, recommendation, and fitting of hearing instruments. She services several retirement communities in Bucks County. She feels that patient counseling is a vital component to a successful hearing aid fitting. She enjoys working with families and health care professionals to appropriately fit hearing instruments that provide optimal amplification as well as training nursing staff on hearing aid use and care.
Martha is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She maintains her continuing education by attending state and national conferences as well as manufacturer training in the office.
The field of Audiology has expanded dramatically over the past ten years. In light of this, Associates in Hearing is dedicated to educating and implementing the latest technological hearing instrument advances to ensure optimal hearing.

Office Manager
Karen Fry heads our office staff. Her business expertise and skills ensure that the office runs smoothly at all times. Karen is always ready to help clients along the pathway to better hearing.
Mary Kay Mariano
Audiology Assistant
Mary Kay has been at our office for over 5 years assisting the audiologists, taking care of walk-in patients, performing various office tasks and handling special projects. She spends some time traveling around to various industries in the Philadelphia Area performing OSHA mandated hearing screenings on industrial workers. Mary Kay is using her educational background to teach others about hearing loss, the prevention of hearing loss and instructing those who have chosen to improve their hearing by purchasing hearing aids through Associates in Hearing.
